Analysis, planning and control in a single system
IT is not an end in itself. An IT system proves its worth when it is able to quickly, transparently and flexibly support management thinking and decision-making. The STRAT&GO product family has been designed to meet this challenge; offering a user-oriented software solution to companies that wish to combine strategic business management and control with rigorous operational analysis and planning. Full integration and compatibility of modules (as opposed to stand-alone 'IT islands') implies a solution that can painlessly adapt itself to changing requirements.
Used individually or combined in a single system, the three modules of the STRAT&GO product family offer support to decision-makers across the full range of their information requirements: Planning (STRAT&GO
Business Planner), Analysis (STRAT&GO Business Analyzer) and Control (STRAT&GO
Business Scorecard). Using a single database, a flexible authorization management structure and a highly graphical interface, the modules offer management a consistent and comprehensive 'at a glance' view of the firm's relevant value-drivers and performance indicators at the click of a mouse.
While the integrated early-warning system common to all modules immediately highlights deviations and under-performing areas using traffic lights, concise graphical visualization of planning processes and project management ensures full transparency and control at all times. At the same time, the combination of multidimensional hierarchies and cross-structural views is able to satisfy even the most detailed information requirements of the decision-maker.
The use of the latest Web technologies means the modules can be used in a resource-efficient decentralized way and permits the flexible configuration of different user groups. Depending on existing infrastructure and/or preferences, a number of different options exist for entering data into the database, ranging from full automatic integration with external systems to importing of data from excel spreadsheets and manual input using the web-browser. This means that existing applications (Data Warehouse systems, MIS) can be incorporated easily and intelligently into a management control system based on Balanced Scorecard and online reporting.
